Snow Dogs Race Team

Snow Dogs Race Team

The Snow Dogs Ski Team is sub-divided into two programs, Track Attack and Snow Dogs Race Team. Track Attack is a continuation of the Jackrabbit program (our learn to ski program that takes place in January-February), while Snow Dogs is a multi-tiered program focused on racing.

Track Attack

Track attack is a continuation of the Jack Rabbit program (our learn to ski program which happens in January). With a target age between 10-14 years, the program builds on the fundamentals learned through Jack Rabbits. This well designed program uses games and participation to further develop solid cross country skiing skills. The goal of this program is to give the individual the tools to make cross country skiing a part of their lives for life. This program is also very helpful for those that want to move into the Racing programs.

Snow Dogs Racing Team

Our racing program is multi-tiered. This program is geared toward athletes aged 10 to 18, with a focus on competing in local loppets, elementary/high school races, midget championships, O-cups, and Nationals. We follow the nationally accepted Long Term Athletic Development (LTAD) outline for training. LTAD training focuses on both the mental and physical development of our athletes. The athletes, with the help of their coaches, work toward their goals. Yes, the focus is on competing, but we have fun doing it.
